Maravilla Foundation was founded in 1967 to address the growing unattended needs of the low-income people of East Los Angeles. As populations have grown and changed with time, so has our agency, and we now service areas throughout Los Angeles County and beyond. The quality of the work we do and the substantial impact we make on thousands of families has given Maravilla Foundation the reputation as one of the most effective community-based organizations in California.
In Spanish, “Maravilla” means “that which work wonders”. For all of us who work here, those aren’t just words. That is a promise that we work each day to live up to, and one which we intend to keep.

Maravilla Foundation's mission is to optimize programs that will ensure energy equity for the underserved communities of Los Angeles and beyond.
Vision
We strive to eliminate the barriers for all of our community members regardless of ethnicity, cultural background, or socioeconomic status. We envision a world where energy equity- with the comfortable homes, financial stability, and healthy families that that brings with it- is not only viable, but widespread.

We have speakers of several ethnic languages, and most of the staff is bilingual in both English and Spanish. We also routinely hire from the East LA community where we are based, ensuring stable work for the members of the community from which we emerged!
