For decades, Maravilla Foundation has fought hard for the people of East Los Angeles. Maravilla has grown, but they have never forgotten where they came from. On behalf of my district, I thank Maravilla Foundation for all the good work they have done for us. Muchas gracias y muy buena suerte!

Casa Maravilla, Inc. is a non-profit organization contracted by the County of Los Angeles Area Agency on Aging, Community and Senior Services, to provide in-kind nutrition services for the elderly citizens of unincorporated East Los Angeles and Montebello. We have addressed the needs of this area’s elderly since 1975, and have proven ourselves as one of the most successful programs of its kind in the county.
Maravilla Senior Nutrition Program
Eight different sites serve meals to seniors – seven in East Los Angeles and one in Montebello. At these congregate meal sites, more than 200,000 meals – breakfasts, lunches and dinners – are served every year. For seniors who are shut-ins, meals are delivered directly to their homes. More than 60,000 seniors receive this service annually. In the past five years, over 500,000 meals have been delivered by our organization.
Maravilla Retired Senior Volunteer Program
In this volunteer program, as many as 600 senior citizens offer their services to nonprofit organizations throughout Los Angeles County. Volunteers must be 55 or older to take part, and each volunteer averages more than 200 hours each year.
Maravilla Senior Center
The Maravilla Senior Center houses the administrative offices for both the Senior Citizen Nutrition and Retired Senior Volunteer Programs. Not only is the Senior Center one of the program’s eight congregate meal sites, it is the hub for other activities including recreation, social events, transportation services, welfare assistance, and medical screenings.
